Stuart works closely with the client to bring their ideas to life, and takes on historical portraits, mythical, magical, or historical themes from across a broad spectrum of subject matter. He works in approximately A4 or A3 sizes on art paper or board, and presents the finished artwork to the client, ready for framing.
The first step in the process is to contact Stuart and discuss your ideas for the commission. Once you are both happy to proceed, a deposit of 50% of the cost is paid. Stuart will then work on and send you a sketch of the project, which can be further discussed should alterations or additions be necessary. Upon completion of the work, you will be sent an digital image of the finished piece to ensure you are happy with it, and if you are, the balance of fees outstanding is paid. The work is shipped to you with tracking, signature requirement for delivery, and insurance.
A4 size painting is £400 (Great British Pounds), 50% (£200) of which is paid upon agreement of the commission. The balance to be paid upon completion of the work.
A3 size painting is £700, 50% of which (£350) is paid upon agreement of the commission. The balance to be paid upon completion of the work.
The fees include shipping with sign for, tracking and insurance.
Copyright of the image itself stays with the artist. Should you wish to also obtain the copyright of the image, so that you can use it for commercial purposes, please discuss this with Stuart so that a different fee can be arranged, along with the appropriate paperwork.
By paying a deposit, you are entering into a contract with the artist to provide you with an original work of art. It will be delivered to you once you have paid the balance in full. If you decide to cancel the order once the painting has started, the deposit is non refundable and you will have no claim on the painting.
